As someone who adores all things blueberry, I’ve always believed that it’s a flavor that’s simply perfect on its own. But- when it comes to flavor pairings, if ANY flavors were meant to be BEST friends, it’s blueberry and lavender. If you’ve never had a lavender-infused dessert, It may seem a bit unexpected at first. But trust me, the delicate, fresh essence of lavender adds a touch of floral elegance and romance to the sweet familiar juiciness of blueberries. It’s not about overpowering the berry; it’s about enhancing its natural charm with a subtle, floral twist. 

The blueberry flavor brings that sweet, familiar taste we all know and love, while the lavender adds a stunning floral note that takes the flavor profile to new heights. And let’s not forget about the mascarpone base, adding an irresistible creaminess and sturdiness that ties everything together perfectly. It’s a flavor combination that’s both comforting and a little more sophisticated, making every bite perfect.

What do I need to make this no-churn ice cream?

Equipment Needed:

  • Medium mixing bowls
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Spatula
  • Freezer-safe container with lid
  • Ice cream scoop
  • Waffle cones or ice cream cups

Shopping List:

We’re infusing the ice cream in THREE ways. One half will be Lorann Oils Blueberry Flavor Fountain, adding an authentic burst of blueberry flavor. The other half will be flavored with Lorann Oils Super Strength Lavender Flavor, a highly concentrated essence perfect for both culinary delights and aromatherapy. And to bring it all together, we’ll swirl in some fab blueberry jam for those visually stunning swirls.

How to make Lavender Blueberry Swirl Ice Cream (No-Churn)

  • Whip the Heavy Cream: Grab a medium bowl and your trusty hand mixer. Whip that heavy cream until it stands tall with stiff peaks. Then, set it aside.
  • Prepare the Ice Cream Base: In a big mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and mascarpone cheese. Mix on high until stiff. Now, divide the creamy mascarpone mixture into two bowls.
  • Flavor the Ice Cream Base: Time to add some magic! In one bowl, add ⅛ teaspoon of LorAnn Oils Super Strength Lavender Flavor and mix it up (be careful not to do this part over and be as accurate as possible to avoid adding too much as this flavoring is highly concentrated!). In the other bowl, add 2 teaspoons of LorAnn Oils Blueberry Flavor Fountain and mix until it’s all blended in you should get a GORGEOUS purple color.
  • Add the Whipped cream: Divide the whipped cream in half and gently fold it into both bowls.
  • Swirl in the Blueberry Jam: Grab a freezer-safe container and start layering your lavender and blueberry-flavored ice cream in there, alternating between the two. Spoon some of that delightful blueberry jam over each layer, then gently swirl it all together with a spatula or knife to create those beautiful marbled patterns don’t over-swirl but just one or two passes should work.
  • Freeze the Ice Cream: Cover up your container with plastic or an airtight lid to keep those ice crystals at bay. Pop it in the freezer and let it chill for at least 6 hours or, even better, overnight until it’s nice and firm.
  • Serve in Ice Cream Cones: When you’re ready to dive in, take your ice cream out of the freezer and let it soften up a bit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. Then, scoop it into waffle cones or cups, and sprinkle on some fresh blueberries for that extra burst of flavor and texture.

Description

Lavender Blueberry ice cream is loaded with fruity blueberry and lavender flavor! With a super creamy mascarpone ice cream base and a vibrant blueberry lavender swirl, it’s so fancy without the fuss. Plus, no ice cream maker is needed!

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 480g (2 cups) heavy cream
  • 397g (1 can) sweetened condensed milk
  • 8oz (1 cup) mascarpone cheese
  • 1/8 tsp Lorann Oils Super Strength Lavender Flavor
  • 2 tsp Lorann Oils Blueberry Flavor Fountain
  • 170g (1/2 cup) blueberry jam (homemade or store-bought)
  • For serving: Waffle cones or ice cream cups, Fresh blueberries for topping

Instructions

1. Whip the Heavy Cream:

  1. In a medium bowl, using a hand mixer, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside until step 4.

2. Prepare the Ice Cream Base:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and mascarpone cheese.
  2. Using a hand mixer, whip the mixture on high speed until fully combined and stiff peaks form.
  3. Divide the mixture evenly into two separate bowls.

3. Flavor the Ice Cream Base:

  1. To one bowl of the mixture, add 1/8 tsp of Lorann Oils Super Strength Lavender Flavor (DO NOT OVERDO IT). Mix until well combined.
  2. To the other bowl, add 2 tsp of Lorann Oils Blueberry Flavor Fountain. Mix until well combined.

4. Fold in Heavy Cream:

  1. Divide the whipped cream in half and fold half into the lavender flavor and half into the blueberry flavor.

5. Swirl in the Blueberry Jam:

  1. In a freezer-safe container, layer the lavender and blueberry-flavored ice cream alternately.
  2. Spoon some blueberry jam over the ice cream layers in the container.
  3. Use a spatula or knife to gently swirl the jam into the ice cream, creating a marbled effect.
  4. Repeat the layering and swirling process with the remaining ice cream and blueberry jam.
  5. Sprinkle fresh blueberries over the top if desired.

6. Freeze the Ice Cream:

  1. Cover the container with a lid or plastic wrap to prevent ice crystals from forming.
  2. Place the container in the freezer and let it freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight until firm.

7. Serve in Ice Cream Cones:

  1. Remove the ice cream from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly.
  2. Scoop the Lavender Blueberry Swirl Ice Cream into waffle cones or ice cream cups using an ice cream scoop.
  3. Top with fresh blueberries for an extra burst of flavor and texture.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy the delightful combination of lavender, blueberry, and swirls of jam!

Tips:

Ensure your freezer-safe container is large enough to accommodate all the ice cream layers. Use an 8×4 or a 9×5 pan for best results.

Don’t overmix the whipped cream. Gently fold it into the flavored base without overmixing.

Storage:

Store any leftover ice cream in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
