For those who love the smooth, mellow taste of cold brew or don’t have an espresso machine at home, here’s a quick and easy variation to make your Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Cup Iced Mocha using cold brew coffee.
You will need to substitute 2 espresso shots for 1 cup of cold-brew coffee.
Major Tips and Variations
Step 1: In a small bowl, mix the unsweetened cocoa powder with a few tablespoons of cold brew coffee. Stir well until the cocoa is fully dissolved, then add the remaining 1 cup of cold brew.
Major Tip: To avoid clumping, use a frother to blend the cold brew coffee and cocoa powder until smooth and well incorporated.
Assembling: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Add 2 tablespoons of Torani Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Cup Syrup, the cold brew/ cocoa mixture, ice, and 1/2 cup of milk.
Peanut Butter Cup Soft Top: Whip 1/4 cup of heavy cream and 1 tablespoon of Torani Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Cup Syrup until soft peaks form. Top your drink and ENJOYY!
Tips for Making Cold Brew
- Make Your Own Cold Brew: Combine 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee with 4 cups of cold water. Let it steep in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours, then strain the coffee grounds using a fine mesh sieve or coffee filter. Store the cold brew in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- Store-Bought Cold Brew: If you’re short on time, store-bought cold brew works just as well. Make sure it’s unsweetened to keep the sugar-free integrity of the recipe.

Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Cup Iced Mocha
Ingredients
For the Iced Mocha
- 2 espresso shots
- 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp Torani Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Cup Syrup
- ice cubes
For the Peanut Butter Cup Soft Top
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Torani Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Cup Syrup
Instructions
Prepare the Espresso
- Start by brewing your espresso shots directly over the unsweetened cocoa powder. (I add the cocoa powder straight to the espresso glass.)
- Stir well to ensure the cocoa is fully dissolved, creating a rich, chocolatey base for your mocha. It's essential to mix the hot espresso and cocoa powder thoroughly to ensure they are well incorporated. Let this mixture cool slightly before moving on to the next step.
Assemble the Iced Mocha
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour the Torani Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Cup Syrup first, followed by the cooled cocoa espresso mixture. Top it off with milk, giving it a beautiful layered effect.
Make the Peanut Butter Cup Soft Top
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and Torani Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Cup Syrup together until soft peaks form. This will be your decadent, creamy topping.
Top and Serve
- Spoon the whipped topping onto your iced mocha. For an extra touch of indulgence, dust a little cocoa powder on top and drizzle with a bit of peanut butter.
